November 21, 201411 yr In Honolulu international airport The plane goes around the airport (the island) and approaches then lands on the runway. In real life, it goes over the airport then lands on the runway. Is there any way I can do this?
November 21, 201411 yr Consult the STARS and Approach plates for PHNL. I use aeroplanner.com. Arluster Turner III
November 21, 201411 yr Author What I mean is ATC directs me/AI to go around the island to land but what I want is a straight in landing not a round the island first then landing.
November 21, 201411 yr That would indicate that you're coming from the "wrong direction", i.e. the active runways are in the opposite direction of where you're coming from. Could that be? In that case, the solution would be to adjust the wind at PHNL, so that you encounter a headwind on your desired straight on approach. Florian
November 21, 201411 yr Did you installed the Afcad as suggested in this post? Do a library search for "PHNL approaches" to see if someone has made a file for the airport you are using (default or payware). This one is for the default airport http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=63223 Bernard Visit: Retroavia Forum - FS9 in the pasts
