Many thanks for transmitting your settings. It works fine, even if get some sparks in take-off seesion. This effect is unfortunately often seen while using stearable seaplanes as AI. I appreciate also your tip about retracting the landing gear. I wasn't aware of these possibilities since twenty years now! Bernard

I really can´t understand why Hans' carrier isn't working correctly. The basic Alpha scenery doesn´t include an Afcad file, but one named "CVN65_PuertoRico_LandableSurface.bgl". This harden the deck. Does Hans eventually miss it? There is an additional Afcad available somwhere in the web. I have it, but I modified the runway heading, as it it to short for AI landing. As Hans pointed out, the Afcad is esential to locate the carrier at all. Bernard

Well, what should I say? I added the AI aircraft more to see whether it would be shown correctly on the deck. As often, it needs a very long way to take off. Mostly due to the fact the it only begins the start at the island. It´s definitely too short. While landing, it approaches too low and don't reach the deck. Even if i created some traffic on other carriers, I never tried to incorporate catapults. IMO, carrier traffic depend too much of aircraft behaviors. Eventually I will place some aircraft as a static AI traffic and add than a more easier helicopter traffic Roosevelt Field to the Enterprise. Best regards, Bernard

Hi Hans, Meanhwile I installed the carrier and could found it thanks to the manual of Team SB Scenery. Faxct is, that I got a hardend deck. And the traffic Afcad doesn't need to be flattened. The aircraft in front is used as AI, the second one behind is a flyable model. I'm rather surprised that no Afcad has been created and released for this freeware. Eventually you should reinstall the scenery. I got it from the library here. Bernard

Can you specify which scenery you're referring to? I have several carriers with AI traffic installed, and your approach seems perfectly correct. That's why it's so puzzling and would need to be checked using the specific scenery. Bernard

Oleg Chernikov (aka Aleck) from Retro AI site released once his RAI package for several flying eras. The common aircraft folder also includes also this DC-9-30 Iberia. In my case, it appears while using his 1991 traffic. This is done with AFX of Flight1. ] With its interface it allows to get a WYSIWYG mode and to handle very easy Afcad. Even to create them in middle of nowhere! Bernard

Creating yourself AI helicopter traffic isn't that complicated. Heli Traffic 2009 is clearly dynamic based than AI.

I had this problem too. Mostly it was due to an incompability of an aircraft or scenery. Obvisouly MS is short on other messages, so it choose what it has available! I would souggest to deactivate all your addon sceneries in scenery.cfg down after the Area "Propeller Objects". Replace all "Active=TRUE" by "Active=FALSE". Needless to say that you should backup scenery.cfg file first! If FS is running again, you have to activate the addons step by step and package-wise. Best use a tool like FS Scenery Manager.

Quit possible. FSTflatten doesn't work neither. Solution: go back to Win7. There is no reason to stay with Win10.

I would install "Autosave". So at least you know where the issue happens. Then you should backup your scenery.cfg and deactivated all sceneries and aircraft by renaming the folder temporarly. After having got an almost "virgin" FS9 you might restart at the last saved situation by Autosave. I would even install an additional basic FS9 and see what happens. Don't forget to backup FS9.cfg first. If basic FS9 is working correctly, than you could paste on sceneries and aircaft step by step and restart your FS9 every time at the said situation. It takes some time, I agree, but it could be a solution.

Latest Nvidia drivers don't automatically mean best graphic results. I went back to 361.91 version. So eventually reinstall the driver you used before..
