March 15Mar 15 Can anyone give our little buddy Deadl some help? He has recently chosen to go to Windows 10 and is having a ton of problems. Read below: "The scenery is actually quite nice. Unfortunately, I have a problem. It doesn't happen with Stuttgart, Munich, or even Frankfurt – but with the mega-airport Erfurt! Every time I load this scenery from Aerosoft, my new computer freezes. I can do whatever I want, but after a few minutes it just stops. Even without AI traffic. How about you? I think I read something about that in the AS forum a long time ago. It's no longer searchable on Google. And I don't want to contact AS about it. I don't want to tell them that I'm flying FS2004 and Erfurt is killing the sim. They'd probably just suggest I switch platforms. Is there anything that can be salvaged? Or should I just pour the whole scene down the sink, stirring constantly? That would be a real shame... Dedl" Does anyone here have suggestions for him? I cannot think of anything other than for him to contact Aerosoft. Of course he will need a receipt of purchase. To me it seems to be the most logical decision. Thank you. Edited March 15Mar 15 by PebbleBeach
March 16Mar 16 Did this evidently payware Erfurt scenery work normally on any of Deadl's pre-Windows10 platforms or was it just a question of it "killing his (FS2004) Sim" ? Could also just be old and slow hardware related. If it concernes a new Erfurt installation (on any Windows platform), an internet connection COULD be required for an automatic online confirmation from Aerosoft that their scenery was actually purchased. This online confirmation COULD then be necessary every time this scenery is (re-)opened in the Sim, unless of cause it was released definately the very first time but only for use on Deadl's dedicated hard/software. If this Erfurt scenery worked normally in a technical sence, under any of Deadl's previous Windows platforms, then what could be the problem about contacting Aerosoft about this new problem ? Could also just be a problem related to exctly where and how his FS2004 was installed under his new Windows-10 platform. Good luck !! Hans
March 16Mar 16 Author Hans, Thank you. I agree he needs to contact Aerosoft and have the issue resolved in a day or less. Thank you for your post.

March 18Mar 18 Author 10 hours ago, Retroavia said: Er kann's einfach nicht lassen! von Anonymous wie er selbst. What Retroavia is saying in English is "He just can't help himself! and "From anonymous, like himself". Retroavia, Deadl visits here from time to time. So he's far from anonymous. He does not need to help himself. There are experts here, unlike the other site like Harry, LOL, that are willing to help him with his transition to Windows 10. Honestly. It is really not that hard as long as you actually purchased the software. I assume he did which should make things very easy. We are here to help. Take care.
