November 24, 201411 yr On several flights, both B737 & 738, after a few minutes at x4 simulation rate the aircraft begins rapid yaw oscillations. Visibly, the rudder is deflecting slightly back and forth rapidly. This always occurs, but months of flying B777 with current computer build never had this happen. Also, this occurs with or without weather.. weather has no effect on yaw oscillations. I did a quick search in this forum but missed this being reported before. I'm puzzled. Any ideas? Thanks. The NGX wasn't coded the same way. Some computers can handle it, some can't. The 777 will throttle to the hardware's ability (and weather, and flight plan), while the NGX won't. Try 2x rate and report back. If it's better, my bet is that it's just the fact that it wasn't meant to handle accel. As a beta tester, you should remember the "the 777 isn't the NGX" line Kyle Rodgers

Yes, x2 does just fine. Oh well. SWA trips are rarely 'long.' Besides, you always fly at x1. Right? Dan Downs KCRP

Some are better than others... Since x2 does just fine, that would lend it's hand to the idea that x4 is just too much to handle. I do always fly at 1x for my own flights, but in troubleshooting issues and validating beta things, I'll use compression to test (and do the 777 tutorial). Kyle Rodgers
