"My problem had to do with the root directory."

A bit more specific would help us understand the "fix" and other pilots in the future that search the forums?

Hi,

let me attempt to clarify this, because it may help some others. The problem the OP had was that he has P3D installed on the root directory of drive F (i.e. in "F:\")

By default on first startup (in non network installations), ASN runs ASConnect_P3D_Install.exe (or ASConnect_FSX_Install.exe in the case of ASN for FSX) that attempts to install the asn simulator module (the contents of as_srv folder inside your simulation installation folder). This installer is confused when P3D is installed in a root directory and in the case of the OP it ended up installing the module in F:\P3D\as_arv instead. The solution is very easy. Just move the folder "as_srv" from F:\P3D to F:\ and ASN was able to launch correctly.

On our end we'll make sure we adjust things to avoid such issues in the future, but in general it's not recommended to install the simulator on a root directory of a drive as such issues may also come up with other installers/addons.

BTW, I'd like to thank you all for the words. It's very much appreciated and gives us strength to keep trying harder.

Thanks Kostas, you explained the problem better than I could. I'm sure your explanation will help other pilots from having this problem. Again thank you very much for your support. My ASN is now working perfect on P3d now and FSX as well.

HiFI support for ASN has to be the best after sales support of any addon, I had problems with P3D 2.4 install, they really worked on it until solved. It only took a few hours after opening a ticket, to reply and a few days to eliminate the problem. Did you get around to opening a ticket?

I do confirm : HiFi did solve same issue on my network very fast. Great !!
