November 25, 201411 yr Hello everyone, I downloaded ASN for P3D V2.4 and installed it and installation of ASN went fine then when I selected and loaded ASN it asked me to install ASConnect for P3D. I selected to install ASConnect and it installed it and finished, however after I selected ok to finish the installation the same command came right back and asked me to Install ASConnect for P3D again and again saying the install was successful. All the ASN files loaded in P3Dv2.4 but can't get the ASConnect to work? Any ideas what might be the problem as to why the ASConnect says installed and keeps me in a circle? ThanksLamar Regards Lamar Wright
November 25, 201411 yr Have you tried running the program as Administrator? That! Your system may not be allowing proper installs unless you run as the administrator...
November 25, 201411 yr Author Thanks for your reply. Yes, I run all programs as administrator. Never had this to happen. When it loads and I select finish it goes right back to the beginning saying "ASconnect install/ update". Regards Lamar Wright
November 25, 201411 yr Are you running ASN on a network workstation PC? Delete this folder on your FS PC: F:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\as_srv Then run ASConnect for P3D again. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

November 25, 201411 yr "Thanks Vaughan for your suggestion but it did not work." Ok, but you did not answer my previous question? Are you running ASN on a network workstation PC? And, did ASConnect for P3D create a new \as_srv folder ... which would be a good sign.? Edit: ASN also has a forum here on AVSIM: http://forum.avsim.net/forum/171-the-unofficial-active-sky-support-forum/ Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

Yes, ASConnect created a new \as_srv folder after I deleted it. This has really got me puzzled. Should I uninstall and reinstall ASN, would that help? Regards Lamar Wright

November 26, 201411 yr HiFI support for ASN has to be the best after sales support of any addon, I had problems with P3D 2.4 install, they really worked on it until solved. It only took a few hours after opening a ticket, to reply and a few days to eliminate the problem. Did you get around to opening a ticket?
