November 26, 201411 yr Since a re-install of FSX, I can't see any AI aircraft despite the fact that I put the slider in the configmenu of FSX to 50-100%. Only on ORBX payware airpotrs I find the AI aircraft. What am I doiing wrong? Don Houtman
November 26, 201411 yr Did you also install FSX SP1? Do you have FSX Acceleration? Which airport .. is it a default FSX airport like KLAX where there would be airline traffic? "Only on ORBX payware airpotrs I find the AI aircraft." Did you install Orbx airports in FSX ...? If so, did all airports have AI traffic before Orbx airports installed? Did you ask at Orbx support forum? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 26, 201411 yr Author I installed both SP1 and AP and first the were random AI aircraft on random airports and in the air. ORBX has its own AI aircraft so thats not my concern. I'm looking for the standard AI aircraft that present in the Simobject subfolder of FSX. How do I get the alive? Don Houtman
November 26, 201411 yr "I installed both SP1 and AP and first the were random AI aircraft on random airports and in the air." So, AI traffic was OK with a default FSX setup. You then installed Orbx AI traffic , correct? If so, you need to check with Orbx Support and tell them what happened. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 26, 201411 yr This is a wild guess, but could it actually be that somehow ORBX got some FS9 format flight plans into their AI traffic packs? That could be an explanation for the "missing" FSX AI aircraft. Another (more likely?) one would be that ORBX's AI deactivates the default Traffic.bgl file by renaming it. Not sure about this either, though. Florian
November 26, 201411 yr Author Yes I installed ORBX AI traffic (AUS and NA) correct. When I fly in Europe no AI aircraft in the air. When I fly in one of the ORBX area the AI-airplane are alive. I will look for the traffic.bgl. Should there also be a line in the FSX.cgf (SimObjects?)? Don Houtman
November 26, 201411 yr Author I run in Europe always "Global" since I installed Global Open Landclass Europe and Global Vector. Only when I fly in the UK I use "Europe". Don Houtman
November 26, 201411 yr "When I fly in one of the ORBX area the AI-airplane are alive" So, Orbx is the problem. Orbx should not stop world-wide default AI traffic. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

November 26, 201411 yr I did not find the file "Traffic.bgl". Where should I look? Should be in <Your FSX Main Folder>/Scenery/World/Scenery, it's actually called TrafficAircraft.bgl, unless I'm mistaken. Sorry for being unprecise earlier Florian
November 26, 201411 yr "it's actually called TrafficAircraft.bgl," ..... the original file could have been backed up or renamed by other AI software. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 26, 201411 yr Author I will look into it tomorrow morning and let you guys know what I found. Txs so far. Much appreciated! Don Houtman
