G1000 user waypoint and map panning

Featured Replies

Hi all, starting a new support (more a request) thread here:

- Using the G1000, when panning the map, the cursor moves TRUE and not MAGNETIC oriented. This means if you are flying in a region with 20 deg of magnetic declination for example, the cursor will pan offset 20 degrees, in all pan direction. If you are flying over an agonic line, the cursor will move like it should, following the arrows.(0 deg offset)  It's a pain creating user waypoints this way.

- Also, when panning, with the cursor offset from the aircraft, when you zoom in, or out (range increase or decrease), the map should center to the CURSOR instead of the PLANE, this is very helpful when reviewing a route and/or adding user waypoints. This would be a top request from me, please add it to some update list if possible!

-Tried the VNAV feature and it's a beauty! The VNAV path pointer (magenta point like a Glide Slope) is not moving downwards, buy maybe I've messed with something, even without the motion of the pointer, the plane is descending accordingly! Very good to have that!

Best regards,

That's why I was expecting some answer like "added to the list". Thanks anyway.
