Fsx splash screen crash

Featured Replies

So recently I accidently hit dont trust the add on manager and now whenever I reinstalled it and clicked ok to trust it fsx crashes. I've already tried updating fsuipc, repairing fsx, deleting the fsx.cfg, deleting the logbook thing and uninstalling the quality wings 757 and reinstalling it to get the add on manager that came with it. I've searched everywhere for a solution, just don't want to reinstall fsx I have to many add ons. I've already told my anti virus to exclude scanning the couatl exe and the bglmanx.dll. Is there someone with my same problem?

Also when I disbale the add on manager fsx pops up but it crashes when I choose the quality wings 757.

...nevermind.  I reread you post... sorry

A little update: just uninstalled every product that uses the add on manager that I can think of. Fsx works fine now but I'm trying to get my 757 and sceneries back. So I'll install one at time and see if fsx works when After I install each item. Fingers crossed.

I doubt it was the trusted as you can not trust an addon all day long and have no problems.  The trusted section is in the FSX.cfg so you can always delete that section, restart fsx, and you will be asked all over again about all of your addons.

Whenever you have a problem with the Addon Manager, just go to the website and download the latest version and install it.  That fixes the problem 90% of the time.  Hope you have your problem fixed.

Well my method above worked! Reinstalled every add on manager scenery I had seems to be working fine now. And I already said that I have downloaded the latest stand alone manager from the fsdt website. Whatever happened I'm glad it's over!

Thanks for your solution but that certainly is strange one installation of the stand-alone addon manager did not work. In any case, you were in the right ball park by suspecting a FSDT scenery.
