Activating & de-activating aircraft in FS9

Featured Replies

Help. I have over 1100 airplane loaded in FS9. is there a progarm out there that allows you de-active airplanes you are not using at the time so FS9 won't that 10 min. to load? Thanks in advance for any help givin.

Flightsim Manager which is in the library here at avsim can do this.you can create fleets of aircraft and disable the ones that you do notwant to show up in the aircraft menu, You can also move them to a hangerwhich zips them up along with their gauges and moves them out of flightsim altogether.Website and forum here:http://www.ranainside.com/software_flightsim_manager.htmlI would also like a nice simple tool to do only this task but also being able to disable single varients of aircraft, I have been checking out robert Shipplets payware "Aircraft config tool" which is supposed to be able to do thishttp://www.logiquewerks.com/Has anyone else found a good alternative?.

I agree! Flightsim Mgr. is the answer. Arrange your birds in fleets and only enable the fleet you are interested in currently flying. (Individual birds may be included in multiple fleets if that turns you on--i.e. Float planes and GA. or Boeing and Posky etc. etc.)Happy flying:RTH

Hi,I use a freeware called "aircraft typer" to mark unused (default) aircraft as AI aircraft. It makes a backup of files for safety and is much faster than any other tool I have seen.http://www.tradewind.org/TCA/website/store.htmPS: How can you be proficient with 1100 aircraft??? Speeds/weights/configs - maybe it
