I was just wondering if anyone knows how to make an airport appear at a greater distance than it does now. I usually fly VFR and I like to fly into small airports, however they usually don't pop up until I am about 5 miles from them, which makes it hard to plan your approach. I was wondering if there is a way to make the Tarmac brighter ar make it appear from a greater distance.

Sorry, I don't have an answer, other than maybe editing the AFCAD to brighten up some of textures.

 

However, I do have an observation; It became much easier for me to see airports from a distance when I moved to my 26" 16:10 monitor.  I suspect that it would be even easier if went larger.
