Moving buildings from default airport

Featured Replies

I installed some photo scenery in my sim, but the building objects on an airport are quite a bit off from where the buildings show on the ground textures, so I want to move the buildings to their actual position.

I never did anything with (re)building scenery, so this is all new to me and I have to a couple of questions to get started.

I've got some experience with ModelConverter and I was wondering if I could use this tool to do this.

And if not, what is the best/easiest tool to start with as a novice?

Of course I need to know which files to work with, but I dont know what to look for. So what files should I look for and how do I recognize those files for the specific airport I'm after?

Not all buildings I see now are the best matching type of buildings (there's a house, where a hangar should be, for example). How do I find other default buildings to add to this airport?

Cheers!

Maarten

You might try Airport Design Editor, it will allow you to move airport buildings and swap stock buildings.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.
