Fault with the FMC for my PMDG Boeing 737NGX

Featured Replies

Hello all,

There is a fault with the flight management computer for my PMDG Boeing 737's. Whenever I press numeric values on the FMC keypad, most of the numbers do not punch in the desired value that I want to input to the system. For example, if I click on a 5, I get a 2 instead, whereas if I click on 0, I get an 8, and so forth. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

This is usually because your settings are off, which is causing the panel bitmap to be a different size than expected.

Also, it is a requirement to sign your full, real name to your posts here. Please ensure that you do this in future posts.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Well, crap...I've tried to fix the bitmap size before and now it's giving me error messages, telling me that I'm missing several .gau files I need to adjust the size. I ended up uninstalling the PMDG 737's altogether to avert this issue. I guess I'm going to have to go back to that usual standard GPS-equipped panels for my Boeing 737's for now since I can't afford to get payware Boeing 737's at the moment.

Are there any good freeware alternatives to PMDG panels for Boeing aircraft? I'm currently using vasFMC for my Airbus twin-engine models (except Airbus A350's, since I'm not sure if I can use the vasFMC on that aircraft using an A330.cfg profile for the FMC) as well as iFly Boeing 747 for a more realistic navigation which work out pretty fine for me. I've also tried out iFly Boeing 737's but the loading time is extremely long that I can't even use them.

Thank you,

If you're having issues with the panels, please submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com - just let us know your order number and other details and we'll have you sorted.
