December 27, 201411 yr Commercial Member I am an avid REX customer and heard some rumblings about a texture product called 'Soft Clouds'. Is this a viable product and can it actually be purchased and downloaded? Second is it something worthwhile? TIA jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
December 27, 201411 yr Funny, I started a topic about this a few hours ago and now it has been deleted. Interesting. Anyway, it is a bit of a strange business plan on REX's part. It is a stand alone cloud package and installer for $10.95 USD. They say that they have future plans to integrate the installer into REX as a payware "addon" but for now it is a separate program. There are some big claims such as "You will truly experience volumetric haze and fog as never before seen within a flight simulator environment." when we know that FSX has no volumetric cloud capabilities. But still they look good and more natural than the regular REX clouds which look a tad bit painted. In terms of VAS, these new clouds have no impact.

December 27, 201411 yr After looking at a few screenshots, this definitely looks interesting, but I might way for some reviews before purchasing. Does anyone know if the clouds are fully compatible with Active Sky Next? Also, do they replace the clouds that come with REX4 or complement them?
