May 16, 200521 yr I was happily cruising along in this awesome new P3 when my son, who is working on his PPL...comes in and says...cool...but the props are rotating in the wrong direction.. (smart azz). Is this true? If so, guess I will report the bug.Eric AND
May 16, 200521 yr Author Hi Eric,If you tell me which way they are rotating, from behind, I'll tell you if it's right or not.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
May 16, 200521 yr Author Hi Eric,Just checked out the download and yes, the props are rotating the right direction. Ie; CW from behind.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
May 16, 200521 yr I just did a cold start, and the props do start up in the clockwise direction...maybe its just an animation perception on my part...or maybe it couldve been done different. Yr mileage may vary (as they say)!Eric AND

It's not all that uncommon for the "strobing" of the blades to appear to contra-rotate at certain prop speeds.Observing a simple box fan as you change speeds will demonstrate the effect quite nicely. ;) Fr. May 17, 200521 yr Author This is where MSFS really lacks. The modelling of constant speed turbo props. The T-56 is a constant speed turbine and varies blade angle and fuel flow to create thrust. Unless it's in Low Speed Ground Idle, the rpm is normally 100%.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
