KBT P-3..prop rotation bug?

Featured Replies

I was happily cruising along in this awesome new P3 when my son, who is working on his PPL...comes in and says...cool...but the props are rotating in the wrong direction.. (smart azz). Is this true? If so, guess I will report the bug.Eric

I just did a cold start, and the props do start up in the clockwise direction...maybe its just an animation perception on my part...or maybe it couldve been done different. Yr mileage may vary (as they say)!Eric

It's not all that uncommon for the "strobing" of the blades to appear to contra-rotate at certain prop speeds.Observing a simple box fan as you change speeds will demonstrate the effect quite nicely. ;)

This is where MSFS really lacks. The modelling of constant speed turbo props. The T-56 is a constant speed turbine and varies blade angle and fuel flow to create thrust. Unless it's in Low Speed Ground Idle, the rpm is normally 100%.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
