May 20, 200521 yr "I recommend that you take the plunge and try it out"Ultimately, that's what's most important--real world experience (by someone with no interest in the product) and what sounds like a happy one at that. In my case, I am quite content with the way MSFS looks and the performance I get from the tweaks I've done to the default clouds. Given my system--the slowest of the bunch now since I've been planning my upgrade around FS2006(7?)--I really have no interest in investing in this type of add-on. Who knows--maybe the tricks Peter feels he exploits only begin to manifest themselves on faster systems (than mine). My next big add-on purchase? Not FE--nope--I'm going after FSD's 337. Unless I can get Flight1 to whip out a Lancair IV-P first :)Lost in this discussion is the distributor of FE--Flight1. I am sure this discussion has drummed up interest in the product. There's outstanding screenshots on their site. Peter has also changed the look of the clouds--without having seen them in action, I feel they do look better than the originals. If anyone is thinking of a purchase, Flight1 wouldn't back a bad product. And they have the most liberal of refund policies--one I've never even considered taking advantage of.-John
May 22, 200521 yr Bob,Thanks for proving what I was trying to say before, some people will see an improvement in FPS. Better to hear that from someone who has actually tried the product rather then a negotive opinion from someone who doesnt even own it, or a blanket statement from one person that says he does.
