I've tried downloading FS Recorder and can't open the file. Can someone recommend a good file opener ?

FIle opener? You mean RAR or ZIP archive opener? WinRAR is good for both.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

What have you downloaded exactly and where from? Windows opened mine as a zip file. I'm sure we'll get you sorted.
