May 20, 200521 yr Somthing is strange here, IF I reduce FS to desktop to use another program my 2D panel vanishes when I go back to FS. I've tried to retive it from the view option buy did'nt fix the problem, also use different aircraft. This just started after installing a new CPU and RAM. Any ideas?Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard1.0 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 40 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
May 20, 200521 yr Hi Dave!Sorry cannot help you with the panel problem, but just wondering how you like the new CPU and if it gave you a noticeable performance increase? Bert
May 20, 200521 yr All I can say is WOW.... I upgraded from a 2.7 and the differance is amazing. I have just about every third party product out there jammed into FS, plus running Active Sky but the sim is still very smooth no stutters. Load times have been cut in half. It finally runs like it should.Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard1.0 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 40 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
May 22, 200521 yr This happened to me a couple of times when I was in multiplayer. Best I could figure out was that there was a graphics card memory issue. Pretty good computer setup - 3.1 ghz P4, 1Gig DDR ram, x850xt pe 256, blah, blah, blah...Upon more troubleshooting, it seems to be connected to graphics card onboard memory (256). I was running FSMoving Map through the kneeboard with a link to an excel spreadsheet of all nav frequencies. Since I've stopped loading the spreadsheet during flight through the kneeboard, I haven't had the missing 2D panel problem.Hope this helpsOdaat
May 26, 200521 yr Hi Dave, turn off Anti-Alias within FlightSimulator - Display settings... and this problem should be solved.
May 26, 200521 yr In my case, Anti Aliasing in FS 9 was not turned on. Hope this works for you.PaulP.S. If you don't have Rana's FS Moving Map, you should check it out!
May 29, 200521 yr I created a new fs9.cfg file and the problem went away.Dave FisherCYYZP4 Prescott 3.2e 478p 800mhz 1mg CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard1.0 gig PC3200 DDR RAM 400MHZGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 40 Gig ATA 133 HD x2WDC WD800 80 Gig HDhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
