I screwed up and tried to open a .rte file using firefox browser. Now all of my .rte files will only open using Firefox. Does anyone know what program I need to reference so that the FMS can read the .rte file? What reads the .rte file? And where is it located?

 

Now when I try and use a CO route, it will not recognize the .rte file. I didn't even bother to search for this as I figured it is likely that no one has accidently made this mistake.

Default programs in control panel. Or, right click > open with > notepad and tick always open with notepad.

 

The FMS wont care what Windows program you have set to open rte files.
