May 20, 200521 yr I install full. That way it will not have to seek the CDROM for scenery information while you fly causing pauses or stutters.Sean Sean Green
May 21, 200521 yr This is good timing, because I want to do a complete re-install of FS9 and all of it
May 21, 200521 yr Unfortunately, there is no "standard" way in which the various add-ons handle the Registry. Some make entries and some don't. So just deleting the FS9 folder may leave some strange stuff in the Registry which is hard to identify for later manual deletion. In order to keep the Registry as uncluttered as possible I always uninstall the add-ons first, then uninstall FS9, and lastly manually delete the main FS9 folder. Doing it this way I've never had the need to plow through the Registry looking for "stray" flight-sim related entries. Also, to help the performance of the reinstall a bit, I'd recommend defragging the drive after everything is uninstalled, defragging it again after the FS9 install, and then doing a final defrag after all the add-ons are loaded back.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage.
