Mouse Cursor - FPS Hit When Visible - Suddenly Started Happening

Featured Replies

Who knows Nick, it's a mysterious one for sure. I recall  Ryan from PMDG saying that for... I think it was the NGX, they had taken measures to reduce the frame rate loss with cursor on screen. Which kind of suggests they may have an inkling as to what this is all about, and how to improve matters.

Apologies to Ryan if I'm remembering that incorrectly, but that's my recollection.

Hi all,

Thanks for the responses. At this point I think that this issue has always been present, just that the addons i have primarily been using do not force the situation to appear.

So far, the only aircraft I can reproduce this effect with are the t duke v2, the a2a182 and to some extent the ngx. Legacy, q400, qw146 and many others in my hangar don't exhibit this effect.

Guess I just didn't notice before adding a couple of the above mentioned aircraft.

In the Turbine Duke V2,  the frame rate drops from 54 to 34 for me, with the cursor on screen. So 36%.
