Sorry for double post...For some reason, it started to post ok, then stopped and said I was not logged in.....

Finally got to getting the 777 and ASN a few days ago and having a few issues with setting up the weather radar. Maybe a Sim Connect issue? when I looked at the ASN SimConnectLog.txt it said..in part....

HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

I have SP1 running and the latest ASN. I am not networked.

I looked at the ASN manual, but I could not understand at all in their SimConnect Configuration Steps guide.

I must be missing something simple here?

Geoff

I had a glitch with Simconnect for ASN-FSX after I installed P3D. Simply running the simconnect.msi installer that comes with the SDK for FSX fixed my issue.  AVSIM has a simconnect forum and googling "reinstall simconnect" yields a lot of information.

Thanks Dan,

Will try the SDK fix and try your other ideas.
