Runtime Error! R-6025

Featured Replies

I was flying the Flight 1 King Air from Jamaica to Key West.  I got the crash about 15 miles out from the island into the ocean.

This is what it said

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

---------------------------

Runtime Error!

R6025

- pure virtual function call

Then the sim crashed and I got an APPcrash with the terrain.dll causing the fault supposedly.  I only have 8 GIGS of RAM would adding another 8 gig stick reduce these crashes?

Thanks!

Jeff

More memory is not going to fix this problem. If you have 8GB's of RAM, that's sufficient for P3D or FSX. There are several topics relating to the R-6025 error in this forum and in the P3D Forum. There is no known solution except for the R6025 error that occurs as you shutdown P3D. I did a search here for the R6025 in this forum and there are numerous topics that I suggest you check out. The terrain.dll is usually related to very high P3D and/or display config settings. I would also suggest it is a bad tweak in your P3D.cfg that might be causing more memory to be used. You can move your p3d.cfg to a temporary folder and restart p3d and let it rebuild. See if the error happens with default settings. If it does, then move the one you had before back. Some have fixed this by turning of tessellation in the P3D settings. Of course, that is probably because they have high settings and turning on tessellation even takes more resources.

Hope this helps.
