I finally have her the way I want, and how I think she should be represented.
Thanks to REX4 Texture Direct and a "at random" theme inject in the sim.

 

I just love the way this sun is dominating the later afternoon winter sky!

 

 

ps: this is FSX-SE in DX9, 5 minutes after a complete clean %appdata%\Microsoft\FSX and %localappdata%\Microsoft\FSX

looks perfect! i felt the same way about my FSX setup until P3D which still looks too cartoony IMO.
