PMDG V2 Purchase Question

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I've tried searching for the answer and couldn't find it so with that in mind...

I don't own the current version of the PMDG 747 but I have been thinking about buying it for a while. Is the so called PMDG 747 V2 going to be a free update or will it be charged for?

The reason I ask is that should I just wait until the V2 is released instead of buying the old 747 now?

Thanks,

Conan

The new 747 is not a new version, it's a completely new product built from ground up. So you have to pay full price even if you own the old one. So if your on a budget, wait for the new one.

The 747X is a 2007 release and kind of was a FS9 upgrade with enhancements thrown in to make it work in FSX (FSX views, etc)   It's over 7 years old and has served us all very well!  :)

I'd wait for the new one which will be on par in programming advancements of the NGX and more so of the 777 - you won't regret it!!!

EDIT: I see Stian replied too!!  What he said!  lol

Welcome to the forum.

The others have answered your question: it will not be an "update" to the existing version and will require an entirely separate purchase. The reason for this, as Stian mentioned, is that it's a completely new development from the ground up.

Thanks,
