I only have an I7-930 with an old 470 card

 

Is the frame rate better with the latest patch? or should I pass on this one.

 

I had high hopes about this a/c but from all the 'problems' I keep reading about..

An i7-930 is a fairly decent gen 1 i7 processor and most were capable of over-clocking to 3.7 to over 4.0 Ghz with ease. The nVidia 470 is also a good mid-level video card. Not really a slouch in performance.

 

It may take some tweaking of settings, but I don't see any reason you cannot run this add-on. Before my upgrade I was running PMDG 737NG on an i7 920 with an nVidia 8800GTS.

Frames are great with my mid system. The only thing that drop my frames is the mouse pointer (a common FSX bug) when is on, once off drops are great again.
