P3D 777 tells me it will not run in P3D

Featured Replies

It is very frustrating to buy a product for the second time just for a new simulation platform and install the product and attempt to run it with the resultant "The PMDG 777x does not support running in Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.  The simulator will now exit"  And yes I did install the P3D version into P3D 2.4.  And no, there is not a FSX version coexisting on the machine.

I would really like to enjoy the T7 on P3d

"The PMDG 777x does not support running in Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.  The simulator will now exit"

This is the error for when people try to install the FSX version into P3D. Please verify to be doubly, triply sure that you used your new P3D installer and not the FSX one. You may also want to verify that your newest order in the store is for the P3D version and not the FSX version. If you made a mistake there, submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com and we'll sort it out.

This is the downloaded zip for the install file that  I executed:

PMDG_777_200LRF_P3D.ZIP

Looks like P3D to me

Me too. Did you use your new P3D license to activate it? Might you have tried to use the old FSX license?

Kyle,

Never got that far.  As soon as I try to load the T7 in P3D i get that legacy splash screen and it shuts P3D down.  No activation request.  I have a ticket in.

Looks like someone forgot to remove some legacy code in the P3D version  :-)

Highly doubtful. How would we have installed to test it?

Submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com and we'll have a look.

Hello Sirs,

I have the same problem as P Freeman "gypsyczar"

I was there some days time installed my PMDG 777-200 / 300ER planned for FSX
(which works fine in my FSX) in my Prepar3D v2.4.

Seeing it not working with Prepar3D v2.4 course I had uninstalled PMDG 777-200 / 300ER in P3D v2.4
(waiting for better days LoL)

And now with a new PMDG 777 for P3D I have the same message:
"The PMDG 777X Does not Support running in Prepar3D Lockheed Martin. The simulator Will now exit"

From my investigations, I think it may be a Windows registry problem?

* Kyle(Hello!),   for Activation I can not make it because my Prepar3D v2.4 shutdown after the message quoted above ...

As said Kyle I will submit a ticket ...

Seems you needs look for here:"C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet"

there will be a hidden file called "pmdgsim1_00973800_tsf.data" inside , if you ever activate your 777 in FSX?

Be cause it looks like the activation file from FLEXNet.

To remove your previous 777 Activation ,delete"pmdgsim1_00973800_tsf.data"&"pmdgsim1_00973800_tsf.data_backup.001"

Hello W.,

Thank you for your opinion.

You said :

>If you ever activate your 777 in FSX ?

Of course, I activated my 777 in FSX.

As you say, I deleted these two files:

"pmdgsim1_00973800_tsf.data"
"pmdgsim1_00973800_tsf.data_backup.001"

Don't work.
It is always the same, I have the message in P3D v2.4:

"The PMDG 777X Does not Support running in Prepar3D Lockheed Martin. The simulator Will now exit"

Annoying problem ... (!)

No solution in sight ...
