February 11, 201511 yr Hello, How can I add the tail number to an existing (but blank) plaque in Virtual Cockpit? Strangely enough, this is what I get in the Carenado Bonanza F33a (FSX) ... A black plaque with no numbers... Which image file should I modify, maybe with photoshop? Where do I find it? Thanks
February 11, 201511 yr In texture.common folder look for CARinterior_G.bmp and CARinterior_G_night.bmp. When you've edited them, make certain they go in the 'texture.your_paint' folder. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
February 11, 201511 yr Having had a closer look, the plaque you're looking at is split between two textures.=PITA. You'll probably find it easier to make your own plate. Example below; The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
February 11, 201511 yr Author Yes, that would certainly work for me! Could you please tell me a bit more how to do this? Should I just modify directly the CARinterior_G.bmp ? Many thanks!
February 11, 201511 yr Now you're asking! I'll go as far as to say this: 1: Open file in DXT1 Bitmap Manipulator 2: Send it to editor (Photoshop?) 3: Scribble on it to your hearts content. Then SAVE 4: In DXT1, 'Reload after edit' SAVE as the same name but in a different place. (Or every aircraft will have the same number. 5: You're on your own kid! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
March 9, 201511 yr Author Thank you, that works! Also, I had another possible solution here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/440471-n-number-in-virtual-cockpit/ Thanks to all!
March 9, 201511 yr Yes, I found out about that a couple of days ago. I'll remember that in case I ever do another Carenado paint. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
