FS Recorder

Featured Replies

Can anyone who has got FS Recorder working with P3D tell me how you did it, filepaths etc? Exactly where you have the .dll?

I have tried various ways with the old FS version as recommended but no joy so far.

Thank you

You need the older v1.3.3.1, v2.1 is a no go. This is my setup:

Folder Prepar3D v2\Modules\FSRecorder has the files Recorder.ini, RecorderFSX.dll, Manual.pdf

Folder C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 has the file DLL.XML

This is the code to be added into the DLL.XML file:

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>FS Recorder 1.331</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>True</ManualLoad>
<Path>Modules\FSRecorder\RecorderFSX.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

thats all...

Some progress maybe!...at P3D launch i'm now getting a warning window saying P3D is attempting to start FS Recorder 1.331 do you want to run this program yes or no. Ive selected Yes but it's not showing in the addon menus. Should it or is there some other way to it?

Thanks

Should show up in the menu under Add-ons. After selecting "Yes", I get another message saying "This version of FS Recorder was not verified ...... To load FS Recorder with limited functionality select OK........" ? You have to select OK there.

Ok i'm not getting the second message. As soon as i click yes that window dissapears and P3D launches but no FS Recorder in Addons

Maybe you need to install the legacy SimConnect from the redist\interface\FSX-RTM folder in the P3D installation folder.

Ok sorry a bit thick here! How do I do that?

I have the following SimConnects installed:-

Microsoft ESP SimConnect Client v1.0.20.0

Microsoft Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61259.0

Looks like your Simconnect install is OK, no clue what else could cause the problem with FSRecorder.
