Keep FS sound on after switching to Windows?

Featured Replies

Lately I very often switch to Windows during longer flights with alt-enter (going to windowed mode) after which I can go to, for instance, this forum, or do other interesting things (I have pause on switch disabled so I do keep on flying). The problem for me is that I cannot hear FS anymore as soon as the FS window isn't the active one. Because this means I cannot hear (FS) ATC I have to move windows around, make them smaller, etc. etc. and always keep an eye on FS. Is it possible to keep on hearing FS in any way when you've switched to another program? That would be VERY nice!

No one...? (Bump)

I don't know of a way to keep the sound on, but you can disable ATC. When it asks you to change the frequency acknowledge it but don't contact the new controller. They won't talk to you again until you contact them, and then they'll pick up at the current spot in your flight. Hope this helps...billg

I think the sound follows the ACTIVE window whichever that is.As an example, I use Mappoint to follow the aircraft on the map. Whenever I use the map for adjusting anything, FS9 sound cuts out. I have to click on the FS9 window to get the sound back.I also would like to know if it is possible to maintain the sound of FS9 while accessing another window.Abe
