Where should I look to solve this problem

Recommended Posts

It appears your anti-virus program is trapping the required files for GSX to work.  You should always disable your anti-virus program before installing an addon as this is exactly what anti-virus programs do.  They are trying to save you from evil Internet people but in the process they mess up your installation of a program.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 were installed properly but not Microsoft Visual 2010 (which are the loaded modules quoted above).  Disable your anti-virus program and reinstall GSX.  You might have to reinstall the Standalone Addon Manager too.  I cannot believe that Kaspersky would think that any Microsoft Visual is possibly a virus.

Best regards,

Well, I think I got this egg cracked finally. Well you guys did B)

So I reinstalled GSX minus anti virus, MCE and FSUIPC4. Thanks for that anti virus catch Firehawk44. After GSX was reloaded I added the stand alone add-on manager, plus VC++2013 runtimes per FSDreamteam's support forum and FSX worked. Then I went on to add FSUIPC4 and later MCE and everything is installed and working fine with my FSX now.

I'm not sure what the root cause of the problem was. I'll guess the visual runtimes were the big thing and the add-on manager but I don't get why FSUIPC4 was acting up because of it. But everything is coupled and working as of now.

I thank you guys so much for the help, I would have never figured it by myself. How you guys can read those appcrash reports is magic in my eyes.

Again big thanks AVSIM crew.

Regards,

George.

plus VC++2013 runtimes

This only is needed for P3D but not to worry as you still have the proper version installed.  It's installed when you install GSX.  The Visual Runtimes are used by developers to install their application properly in the way they intended.  The Microsoft.net's 2.2 and 3.0 are used by developers to make sure their applications run properly as they intended, including memory management.

Glad you were able to get it running again!
