March 6, 201511 yr The MD's were great to fly on, unless you're in the back right next to the engines...otherwise the further up front you went, the quieter it got. I will never forget being around 13 or 14 years old at the time and my ski team had to fly from Toronto to Thunder Bay on a chartered Air Canada DC-9. The seat I was assigned wasn't a window seat so I made a deal with a girl in my ski team for her window seat for a massage that night (Massages are very high commodity on ski teams). She agreed. When I got to my seat it was the very back seat in the corner and of course their is no window in that seat, just the wall as the engine is on the other side.
