March 6, 201511 yr Hi ! I'd like to buy both the 737 and 777 for P3D. How many times I can install/uninstall the products on the same pc? In other words if I need to format my computer, what is the correct procedure? I have other add-ons and I need to deactivate them and then I can reactivate without problem. How the PMDG products work in this sense ? Thanks a lot! March 6, 201511 yr Commercial Member How many times I can install/uninstall the products on the same pc? In other words if I need to format my computer, what is the correct procedure? Unless you are reformatting, do not deactivate the license to just uninstall/reinstall the plane. We do have a limit on the number of times within a certain time period that you can uninstall/reinstall, so only deactivate when you absolutely need to (reformatting). Honestly, nobody should be hitting those limits, but some do, and we realize that people aren't doing anything negative in these cases. I will put out a strong note that there are waaaaay too many people who reformat their drives waaaaaay too much. Kyle Rodgers
March 6, 201511 yr Author Thanks Kyle, I've usually taken an image of my pc, so if I need to reinstall I use it. In this case I don't need to deactivate I suppose. Sometimes the only method to clean any issues on a pc is to completely format/reinstall all the system. I don't talk only of FSX or P3D issues ;-) Regards, Massimo Solimbergo Massimo Solimbergo | MY PC = MoBo: MSI X670E GAMING WIFI CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D RAM: Kingstone 32GB 5600Mhz GPU: NVIDIA RTX4070TI SSD: Samsung 990PRO 2TB + 970EVO 1TB + 860PRO 512GB + 840PRO 512GB OS: Win11 Pro 64 Monitor: Samsung SJ55W PERIF: Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog + TPR SIM: MSFS2020 Planes: Fenix | PMDG | FSS ERJ | BAe146 Utilities: Navigraph VA: UKvirtual (www.ukvirtual.co.uk) Online Flying Network: VATSIM
March 6, 201511 yr Commercial Member Sometimes the only method to clean any issues on a pc is to completely format/reinstall all the system. I don't talk only of FSX or P3D issues ;-) Rarely. If you're doing it more than a couple times a year, you might want to have a look at how you're using/caring for the computer, or the reputation of the companies whose software you're putting on it. I haven't re-imaged my sim comp since 2012, and that didn't even solve the issue (because it was the ASUS BIOS issue). You're welcome to do what you want, and it probably won't set off too many issues for us, but it's very frustrating to get multiple tickets from the same person in our support queue, all because they've reformatted their PC for the 6th time in a few months...
