June 10, 200520 yr Hi all,I've been in beautiful Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada (if you don't agrre, compared to Oklahoma at least) for a large multi-national military exercise for the last fourteen days and was wondering if someone could fill me in on some of the latest add-ons that have been released since then, or any other exciting news that I may have missed. I truly appreciate any updates. Thanks!Jeff
June 11, 200520 yr Holger released some new mesh for Canada. It's aboot time you give it a look, eh? :)And I released a horizon add-on called "Soft Horizons" that reduces the hard horizon edge seen on certain dates in FS9.And aboot a few days ago eh, POSky released a 757 update with winglets.-John
June 11, 200520 yr I don't mind his question. Surfing the forums for new add-on info and browsing the file library can be challenging with the number of posts and add-ons--repaints alone keep the library a busy place. Sometimes it's nice to see someone rejoin the forums after a few weeks' absence and hear the newer add-ons mentioned again. Heck, if anything it gave me a chance to put in a plug for my own add-on :)-John
June 11, 200520 yr The volume of addons is crazy (good crazy!). If I'm away for 3 or 4 days it takes a while to get caught up. You'd hate to miss something really good. I understand the question very well, hehe. billg

June 13, 200520 yr Must have been Maple Flag! I was posted in Cold Lake for 3 years. The new freeware Lockheed and Kawasaki "P-3C ORION" and "CP-140 AURORA" was just released recently, and is a great a/c. High quality work!
June 13, 200520 yr Thanks for the replies. Can't wait to get back to Tinker to my home computer (now I'm in Las Vegas)and get the new Active Sky, it sounds and looks incredible. Plus I just flew out here tonight on an America West CRJ, so now I'll be looking for a good one, I seem to recall POSKY having one available, I'll just need a good panel to go with it.Thanks,Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
June 13, 200520 yr Jeff,Just in case you weren't aware of it, when you go into the file library and choose "What's New", you can change "Normal Mode" to "Scan Mode" and then click on "Change View". This allows you to quickly scan a large number of new files.I use this method all the time when I have been out of town for a while.Wilson
