MD-11 Sound Issue

I recently purchased the MD-11 for the freighter and I can't hear any engine sounds at all. When in the VC, I can hear the packs, and all other systems that you can normally hear, but when I go to external view, I can still hear them and no engine sounds. Even when I go to AI traffic or different tower view, the sounds are still heard. It is quite frustrating because I want hear the engines. It is also quite unrealistic too. Even when I am in cold and dark, I still hear the packs and AC air blowing in.

Check your settings in the MCDU.  You can give them different values by raising the numbers but default is '100'.

I didn't know there was an option there. I'll check it out when I get a chance.

Check whether your Windows speaker settings match your physical speaker setup. If you were to select 5.1 speakers in Windows but you only have say 2.1, then you might miss the engines on rear speakers.
