June 20, 200520 yr just wondering as not everyone seems compeletely happy with the existing offerings. Seems like it would be a good match to me. Thoughts?billlg
June 20, 200520 yr Well, I hope people will like it. One of the biggest things I wanted to give people is variety. With all 3 configurations included you can fly one leg in the glass aircraft and then do the next in the steam panel. It seems that everything that is out there right now just deals with the latest version of the 80 and I wanted to capture the entire line of aircraft. Each aircraft is its own animal so you can switch it up and have a good time. The other great advantage to this project is using the superb SGA model. By this collaboration, the development costs are cut down and we are also promoting some great freeware. Although the final price has yet to be published, we are able to pass the savings on to the customer and I think people are going to get a great deal.Well, I will be in and out of the forums and if I see any questions that I can answer, I will jump in there. I have to fly for the next four days so if I cant get on the net it may be a few days.Happy flying!Lonny
June 20, 200520 yr Lonny,Good luck with this project. The screen shots certainly look very good indeed. My only concern is that the panels are specifically designed to work with SGA planes, as I would like to see the possiblity of using it with other models (eg Jet City Aircraft). Is there a possibility of that being achieved? Graeme Butler
June 20, 200520 yr I do not have any experience with Jet City aircraft, but the biggest problem with making aircraft and panels work together is the aircraft.cfg file. There will be a special aircraft.cfg file included with the package that will make the changes that are needed to make all the systems work as they are programmed with the SGA model(fuel, engines etc) also several animations are specifically programmed to work with the SGA model (aft stairs, extending landing lightes etc) Unless these are identical in the JC aircraft, they would not work correctly. Of course nothing is 100 percent finalized and work is progressing nicely, so we will see what happens.Lonny
June 21, 200520 yr An agreement between Eaglesoft/PAS and Jet City would need to be reached as the Jet City aircraft are commercial products. To date we do not know the owners and have had no contact with them.Of course any owner of JC aircraft and the Eaglesoft/PAS Panel could merge the two for their own private use :-)Edit: Support offered by Eaglesoft/PAS is currently for SGA models only.
June 21, 200520 yr I have no concern regarding the panel beeing payware. However, beeing payware, I am concerned that there is no information regarding any FMS and its functions. ;-)http://www.scandicair.com/images/Banner_ariane_4.jpg Staffan
June 22, 200520 yr They have already stated that the panel will be compatible with the model from SGA. That means no VC. ;-)http://www.scandicair.com/images/Banner_ariane_4.jpg Staffan
