Missing FTX Central... I just don't get it.

Ladies and gents... it works!!!

I installed it in a rather odd manner. I'll have the details soon .

So here we go:

I started by first moving my whole FSX folder in the Program Files (x86) directory to a new folder simply under the (C:) directory. I also disabled my McAfee Antivirus (in case you were wondering)

From that point, I ran the FTX Global installer, freshly extracted, as Administrator. It Unwrapped the files, and asked me to install. Oddly enough, it did not recognize that I had moved my main FSX folder elsewhere, but I eventually decided, after reading another thread, to just install FTX Global where it wanted to install it. Eventually, after a few minutes, FTX Global completely installed itself where FSX was, and created its own directory entitled "Microsoft Flight Simulator X."

It gets a bit weird here.

I then took the contents of the new directory the FTX installed, and copied them into the original main FSX folder (which, if you remember, is in a new directory). After properly merging and place the files from the FTX install where they should be, I took the whole, newly modified FSX main folder and placed it back where it originally was (in the Program Files (x86) directory).

So now, to recap, I put FSX back in the original directory it was in before I installed FTX.

I loaded up FSX, made sure ORBX was in the Scenery Library, loaded a flight a Newark Liberty International Airport at night, and wahlah. Beautiful. It works.

Now, after I made sure things were working, I installed ORBX's freeware North America airports, then installed the latest ORBX Libraries, as recommended in +~Craig~'s post.

I am happy to say that FTX Global is now functioning, and FTX Central also functions properly :lol: !!!

* I also, of course, made sure to enable my Antivirus software once everything was done.

NOTE: When FTX Central first began functioning, it gave me the infamous "Unhandled Exception" error. I easily fixed this when I placed FSX back in it's original directory once all of the ORBX-related folders were installed.
