April 9, 201511 yr Good point. I prefer REX 4 though just because you get the nice recommendations for textures at an airport based on the weather. Philip LaBianca _____________________ "I think, therefore I am."
April 9, 201511 yr REXE+ can do that as well though, if you're not aware? REX4TD has a nicer user interface though.
April 9, 201511 yr Author Now i'm more confused. In fact i don't mind purchasing TWO REX's products together if i deem it necessary CONFUSION = REX 4 and REX 4 texture direct are different? and how different? REX 4 TD + Soft Clouds Is REX 4 Texture Direct and Soft clouds a good combination / waste of money or fps killer e.t.c?
April 9, 201511 yr REX 4 and REX 4 TD are the same product. It provides textures for clouds, water, sky, and airport runways/taxiways. It's basically REX Essentials +OD without the weather engine and less textures. I prefer REX 4 over Essentials because I don't use the weather engine, it was cheaper, it comes with water animations, and it recommends textures for the airport and weather conditions you're flying in. Soft Clouds is an entirely different product. It provides cloud textures that look gorgeous and work well with FSGRW and ASN, but on some PCs (from what I heard) can cause a slight performance loss. I don't have it because I've already spent tons of money on P3D Plus, REX 4 covers everything I need. Philip LaBianca _____________________ "I think, therefore I am."
April 9, 201511 yr As TheNerd says: REX Essential Plus = Weather engine and texture program. Overdrive version (referred to as OD) just gives an even bigger choice of textures. REX4 Texture Direct = Texture program. Also known as REX4 (without TD after it as at the moment there's only been one REX4 product released). REX Soft Clouds = Texture program, but just for clouds. Integrates into REX4TD user interface, if you have it. So really, your choice is REXE+ or REX4TD. Personally, if cost isn't an issue, I'd go with REXE+.
