I got the same problem.

 

Will the CDU Freeze when i change the STAR and RWY during the flight?

 

I hope there is/will be a fix for the problem. Workaroung is good but hopefully not permanent ;)

No.

I've only had this issue if I try to enter enroute winds while a STAR is not programmed. So basic solution: make sure you put in a STAR, or at very least an arrival runway/procedure if there are no STARs at that airport, before you start plugging wind forecasts in.
