Hard to quantify performance gain in FPS - I lock at 20 so that's pretty much where it stays. What I did notice was this -

 

using one card in a specific scenario with heavy clouds, etc - I would easily max out the single GPU and get a FPS reduction

 

Same situation in SLI - load was split so GPU's didn't max - FPS stayed normal.

 

I have not noticed ANY increase in FPS but I HAVE noticed that it takes much longer for the GPU's to max out, if they do. So that is a performance gain IMHO.
