Captain Sim Starfighter in DX10

Featured Replies

Hallo,

just finished to portover some of my favoured legacy aircraft into FSX and most of them seem to work really fine in FSX. But the Legendary F-104 of CaptainSim is a tough nut indeed. After having done a lot of experiments with the alpha channel, I don't get a solution how to get a clear view outside the cockpit - it stays dark like a sunglass in DX10. Using DX9 everything is fine.

Does anybody know how to fix it or is this bird sentenced to life in FS9 only? Thank you very much in advance for every hint.

Regards, Manfred

Hey,

please have a look in the DX Fixer Software discussion in the Software Support Forums here. I think there was a trick to get clear cockpit windows by disabling a certain Alpha channel function. Are you using Steve's DX10 SceneryFixer?

Hi Matthias,

thank you for information and shame on me - I did a bookmark on the "Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums", so stupidly I didn't recognize the "all above" forum   . Will have a look immediately. Yes, I am using Steve's DX SF, and I am more than satisfied with it.

Maybe someone can move this post into the right forum, please? Sorry again....

Ragards, Manfred
