I installed the new orbx trees hd.  I beleive that is the one that will keep changing my max load to 4096. I no longer have FSX installed.

I deleted the fsx_se.cfg and let it rebuild.

 

I got this at the top of the file:

 

[GRAPHICS]

TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096

 

However, it's possible the trees setup program can change it to 4096, but I've not got it so have not tested it.
