July 1, 200520 yr Here is a picture of Portland International using my default Cessna at one of the small gates. Can you spot the terminal? The control tower, the river and the bridge in the background look OK, but where did the terminal go? I have checked and rechecked my scenery.cfg to see if there was a problem there, but nothing has turned up. I checked other airports with no problems noted. My scenery is set for extremely dense. I either have a corrupted file somewhere or I overwrote a file. Could someone please offer any suggestions that might fix the problem? July 1, 200520 yr Is (or was) this the stock FS PDX terminal? It looks like you've got an errant exclude switch that's blocking the buildings from displaying. Is it only happening at PDX? Also, what scenery, if any, have you installed since the last time it displayed properly?
July 1, 200520 yr Author Hi Bill:This is the stock terminal. I have probably installed quite a bit of scenery since the last time it was OK. I had been using an addon KPDX scenery from John Loney which worked fine. When I later found that the gates were going up to "nothing" I knew something was wrong. I uninstalled his scenery but the problem remained. John had me check for duplicates in my scenery.cfg file, but it is OK. The only other scenery for this area that I have is Holger's Columbia river stuff which has worked flawlessly. July 2, 200520 yr Author Bill,Is there anyway that I could check for "exclude switches" for this area to see what some of the possible sceneries that could have a bad switch?Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
July 9, 200520 yr Hi,It's a brute force approach, but uncheck all addon scenery layers in the Scenery Library and restart FS. Include things like the Addon Scenery layer too. If this fixes it, then there is an errant exclude area in one of the sceneries. Place a check mark in half the scenery layers, and recheck in FS. Continue this process until you've narrowed it down to a given scenery. If this doesn't fix it, then you have something corrupt in your FS scenery.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
