July 7, 200520 yr Hi all,I have this issue: when using FS2004, sometimes (not always), after a while, textures rapidly begin to "degrade" (see for example scenery textures in 2nd screenshot) and then they are not loaded at all (see screenshots).I did a search in AVSIM forums and found several users had the same issue, but it seems no significative explainings or solutions have been found. My system:Barton 2500@3200Abit NF7-S v2.02x512MB Twinmos pc3500Sapphire Radeon 9800Pro 128MBPlease note: the problem is appeared several weeks ago, when the system was not overclocked at all, and equipped with a Radeon 9500Pro. Hence I doubt it's a videocard/hardware issue.I have latest Omegadrivers.BIOS settings are: AGP aperture size 32MB (the min value) AGP speed 8XAny ideas?Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 7, 200520 yr Have you defragged your hard drive recently? You might also try deleting your FS9 config file as well. The old one may have gotten corrupted, and FS will generate a new one for you. Are you running any background tasks? Scanned for spyware that might be taking up system resources?Tony
July 7, 200520 yr That happened to me too, giving FS a full reinstall fixed it, but there might be less painful ways to do it. :-lolDaniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. July 8, 200520 yr Your problem is related to memory management quite likely. Either you set it up in the dialogue or directly into the registry, but in either case, you MUST use the windows performance setting for Applications, NOT Background Services. If you did this via a regedit, change it back to read this way:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory ManagementLargeSystemCache = 0 (versus = 1)Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. Thank you anyway :) "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

I will try it, by now I increased AGP aperture size to 128MB and it seems to work (Thank you Chris Willis for the advice)Thank you for your advice :)Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 8, 200520 yr Author Hey Marco,I am GLAD you posted this as I too have experienced this problem a lot recently whereas I didn't have this problem too much in the past. My sim gets into the SAME shape as yours. I've got a 9700 Pro (although I'm moving to an X800Pro very shortly).Quite a vexing problem that, as with is the case with you, does not happen often or regularly, but does happen.
