Great thread here!  I'll have to check some of these out.

 

The two that come to mind for me are the fantastic "Fate is the Hunter" as already mentioned several times, and this one, didn't see it mentioned yet.  Great book, I couldn't put it down either.  It's about two young brothers that restore and fly a Cub across the US.
