About to buy the 35A
Hi Dave, was away for a few days. I will see if I can trouble shoot the load manager. Not running any other addons other than ASN (now upgraded to AS16, but doesn't seem to be weather related and behaves the same when AS is not running. Thanks

Using the loading screen manager, light/medium/full fuel options make no difference to roll issue, nor do any combination of loading passengers, bags or cargo.

Active Sky 2016 and Active Sky Cloud Art (AS16 & ASCA) Preview Screenshots.
be77solo replied to HUSSAR's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumReally enjoying the package (AS16+ASCA)... just battled through a line of storms that beat me silly ha, beware the turbulence! Good stuff that I'm sure they will only improve. It makes sense in my head that the weather engine linked to all the atmosphere textures can only lead to a great thing. The problem with Rex is they never figured out the weather engine component. The dynamic nature of having both combined is the key, way more than a possible gorgeous REX single frame screenshot will show. Happy customer here!

About to buy the 35A
Question for you Lear 35 drivers, still loving the package, but have one question: My Lear always wants to roll left when flying. Power, weather, speed, altitude, nor loading seem to matter. Even when on AP in level flight, it banks to compensate to keep a straight course. Not a joystick issue, as no other planes do this and the VC yoke is centered. Probably missing something simple, any ideas? Otherwise, love this package! Apologies if this was asked before, I flipped through forum and google'd but didn't see anything. Thanks all!

ASCA Themes / REX Comparison Shots
Great video, enjoyed it! My own experience has been very positive, loving AS16 and ASCA as a whole package. Sure, sometimes it's not the best, but I'm finding it's usually pretty great. Glad things are moving this way (dynamic weather, cloud/sky textures, structure etc). Screenshots are tough, seems to look much better in actual motion to me, particularly with the initial screenshots in this thread that were zoomed sooooo far out... that will distort about anything, hence why the REX stuff didn't even look good. Enjoy all, will continue playing with the combo.

New ORBX library file released that fixes Migration issues with new Central version also released
This sure makes me wonder how the switch to the "Orbx Store" later this year is going to go ha! Personally, I haven't noticed any problems with the unified setup, but maybe I just haven't noticed them or flown in those areas yet. Sorry for those still struggling with this.

MSE is definitely a love/hate... your second pic reminds me why I don't go this route, but your others are gorgeous.

How did PMDG arrive to the conclusion that the DC-6 would be the next product?
Except for the fact they first revealed it to us all in FSX..... http://www.avsim.com/topic/361760-secret-project-1-this-one-is-a-classic/ So, I guess a FSX --> XP10 --> FSX/P3D port?

Lear35 Immersion Package
Thanks for the video! Loving this plane with the GTN750 and Milviz WX Radar, so now tempted to pick up the Immersion package. Curious, you were around the 25fps area opposed to your usual 30 lock in videos; is this due to the package or something else? When I fly the 35A now with both 750/WX, even in weather and ORBX regions, it's super easy on frame rates. Might have been your weather settings or something, but want to make sure it's not this package. Otherwise, I look forward to picking it up. Thanks again!

AS 16 + ASCA First Impressions
be77solo replied to Gilandred's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumSo setting it up now and have a question I didn't see mentioned as I skimmed through the manual quickly, it might have been there: To get the full dynamic or Global automatic themes to update with AS16, does the ASCA program need to stay running? Thanks! Look forward to trying this.

FlightSimLabs A320 - Release Very Soon!
Be curious to see what my non-simming father thinks of the FSL version. He's been a captain on the A319-320-321 for years, just transitioned back to the A330 a few months ago. Lord knows I won't know how to even start it, but if it's as accurate as they say he will be able to ha

About to buy the 35A
Decided to get a copy of the new Milviz WX Radar (currently 50% off) to try with the 35A.... Man, with the GTN750 and the WX Radar both working side by side in the panel, this is a particularly fantastic package. Flew around some stormy ASN weather last night, what a treat. Very impressed. Smooth on the frame rate to boot. Will be flying this package quite a bit I foresee.

be77solo replied to HUSSAR's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumLooks like a great package! I've loved and enjoyed ASN everyday since I got it and use it every flight. I'll pick this new suite up as soon as available. The one time I had a problem they were super quick to help. I own REX TD+Soft Clouds but don't even have it currently installed. I'm excited about having a simple all in one solution of textures/weather engine. Happy to support these guys.

About to buy the 35A
Picked up the 35A before the sales ended. I have to say, they did improve their textures quite a bit over the MU-2. Look forward to spending some time flying her, but wanted to give credit where credit is do, they did step up the textures on this release.

A HONEST view on how P3Dv3 performs...
Until you pan the view or bank quickly, or even stutttttter the mouse cursor across the screen. Definitely don't try aerobatics. 30HZ refresh rate drives me bananas ha, but I know some love it. Things are just much more fluid feeling at 45+ fps on a 60+HZ screen. I'll take the occasional micro stutter/long frame or random blurry and a higher frame rate every time over a locked low frame rate. The plane just seems to "come alive", not sure how to describe it. For long haul tube flying just staring straight ahead hours on end 30HZ would be fine though. Doesn't cut it when hopping freight all over Papua New Guinea. Just truly does show, we each have our own vision of what's best.

HONEST is of course always relative ha, as this was also recently posted as well on the forum: http://www.avsim.com/topic/491178-ive-moved-p3d/

Aerofly 2 really bad, refunded.
I tinkered a bit more with version 1, I do see some potential, but I just bore so quickly and the v1 lost hope set in again... I feel like I'm flying a very limited area Google Earth map in a browser. I hope they get where you guys are preaching, I just don't see it happening anytime in the next few years, assuming they stick around this time and don't bail for the quick smartphone app money again. I have since uninstalled again and doubt I'll ever bother again. I will however keep an occasional eye on development in case they surprise us at some point. Take care all, and best wishes to development.

DTGFS scenery is Made by ORBX
Well said. I just have to wonder, at what point can we just use the data in google maps, as it models in 3d all features we need and is always on my phone available... the data is there, just need to access it in a sim platform properly. Googlemaps + Streetview + a quality mesh + an Orbx FTX Global texture package to fill in the blanks would be awesome. Add your full globe weather engine you mention along with the proper cloud modelling package and we are set ha

DTGFS coming up next DA42 and... ?
I have to wonder if they just released it to meet the June deadline they initially promised for all pre-orders... only reason I can think of. Release it and hope it's good enough instead of dealing with the whining of another missed date. I'm torn, I want them to succeed, but simply not liking the experience overall so far. I do like the UI though for the most part, that's a nice improvement for general users I'd say. Graphics are quite disappointing though and will turn away those new to the hobby used to modern titles.

I can report the same... disappointing frame rates and I literally couldn't fly it more than 5 minutes before it crashed to desktop. There's another thread about the plane to keep this one on topic.
