July 12, 200520 yr Hello everyone, I have a question which I dont even know if it can be answered, Im wondering what am I able to disable using Fsautostart without disabling something that the pc needs to run? Can I disable all in the list and go play FS or do I have to be careful as to what I disable? I realize that everybodies pc is different thats why Im not sure if anyone can answer this.Any tips? Thanks in advance Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
July 12, 200520 yr I use FSautostart and it has made a big difference in my performance. I even use it when playing other games or programs that take up a lot of memory. To answer the question, the best way to disable items is to go through the list. If I remember right, it should tell you if you have to keep it running or not. From there it is use your best judgement. I went through and turned off as much as I could. If you happen to turn it off, and something doesn't work right, you can restart your computer and all your settings will return to what you had before.Kev

July 13, 200520 yr Hi Unsigned,Just run it with the settings that are included in the basic 'Autostart'.Ken, left it so that you can ALSO include other system that you believe you don't need.If you don't have knowledge of this just run it as it is, and you will see some difference in your performance.Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
July 13, 200520 yr Author The great thing about Autostart is that it doesn't make any permanent changes: firstly you can set items to "stop and restart" so that when Autostart closes, everything goes back the way it was.But even if that doesn't work, all you have to do is reboot and you are back to normal. So read the advice in Autostart by all means, but you can experiment freely without worrying too much
