Single engine practice

Featured Replies

What would be a good method of practicing how to handle the NGX on one engine? I'm thinking of going up to 5000, and just cutting off the fuel lever on one side. The goal is to experience how to keep flying with asymmetrical thrust. Hand flying of course!

I suppose I could set it up using the failures menu but I won't be following the book, ie I won't try to relight it, but rather will just keep flying on one engine and try to bring her in safely. Eddie (code7700.com) sez that all multi engine pilots need to know how to fly their bird with an engine out, so I'm wondering how to try it out.
