June 27, 201510 yr I see a sale on newegg for a samsung evo 1tb drive thats $120 off its usual price. Working on a new build, wondering if its worth it to spend that much just for a data/game/fsx drive that is a SSD. I already have a SSD slotted for the OS drive. Its good to have options...
June 27, 201510 yr Is it a 840? If so its a good drive but you'll have to run the Samsung magician once in a while to re-optimize the drive. Otherwise the read speeds slow way down over time. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

June 27, 201510 yr Good deal at that price. If you have the money to get it and not cut corners elsewhere, do it.
