The GTN has a XPDR in it.  Don't need the other one so I could move the DME to where the transponder is.

HI Gregg. if you could explain how to put the dme where the transponder goes I would appreciate that. I can find the dme refrence in the panel cfg but not the transponder to swap it with.

Sorry, I've been busy with other stuff.  I took a brief look at the 404 and didn't find the DME either.  Perhaps I'd have to get it from another airplane...dunno.

Ok thanks for replying.

In the meantime I will use the gtn nearest function .....or the avidyne flightplan page if I am flying direct to a vor
